Data indicating the number of candidates appeared for Mains Exam : For 17,140 clerical cadres (JA & JAA), around 25 lakh candidates appeared for the Preliminary Examination. Out of which around 3.5 lakh candidates qualified for the SBI Clerk Mains Exam. The result of which is still awaited. As per the number of vacancies,  candidates who qualify by ranking high in the merit will be called by the bank for an Interview in the ratio of maximum 3 candidates for each vacancy. The score obtained by the candidates in Interview and Written Examination will be considered for preparation of final merit list. SBI will select nearly 51-52 thousand candidates for Interviews (if any and with nearly 3 candidates prospecting for 1 vacancy. 

Important Points related to SBI Clerk Main Result 2016

• Candidates will have to pass in each of the objective tests.
• The passing marks in each of the tests will be decided by the Bank on the basis of the performance of all the competing candidates taken together in each test to a minimum required level.
• Candidates are also required to score minimum percentage marks on aggregate (For SC/ST/OBC/PWD/XS candidates, 5% relaxation available thereon).
• Minimum percentage marks on aggregate will be decided by the bank. 
• Candidates qualifying the Main Examination will be placed according to their marks in descending order in respective categories. 
• The marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-II) will be added to the marks obtained in Interview (Phase-III) (if the interview is held) for the preparation of the final merit list.
