The Punjab PMET 2016 was held in computer based on June 11. The Punjab Pre Medical Entrance Test commonly known as Punjab PMET is a state level entrance exam conducted for admission to around 2000 MBBS and BDS seats in various medical and dental colleges of Punjab. Punjab PMET 2016 Eligibility: A candidate will be eligible for admission to MBBS and BDS for academic year 2016 –17 on fulfillment of the following Punjab PMET 2016 eligibility criteria.
  • Candidate must be 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2016
  • Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination or other equivalent examination of 10+2 Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually
  • General category candidates must have obtained 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English
  • SC/BC category candidates must have obtained 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English
Punjab PMET 2016 Exam Pattern: Punjab PMET 2016 has conducted on June 11 in computer based mode.  The highlights of Punjab PMET 2016 exam pattern was given below:
  • Exam Date & Time – The exam  was held on June 11 in morning session from 11 AM to 2 PM
  • Exam Mode – The Punjab PMET 2016 exam was conducted in online mode
  • Question Type – Punjab PMET 2016 online question booklet had multiple choice questions (MCQ)
  • Number of Questions – 200 Multiple Choice Questions (50 each of Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology).
  • Marking Scheme -  Each question carried four marks, thus total marks of the exam were 800
Punjab PMET 2016 Application Form: The application form of Punjab PMET 2016 could be filled in online mode till May 25 and last date to fee deposition was May 26, 2016. Candidates were advised to read the application procedure carefully before applying for Punjab PMET 2016 application form. While filling application form, candidates had to upload their scanned photograph, signature and left thumb impression of the prescribed specification. The examination fee of Punjab PMET 2016 was Rs. 5000 for General and Rs. 2500 for SC category candidates. The examination fee could be paid through the bank challan. Candidates could get printout of their online Punjab PMET 2016 application form after locking their application form. Once the application form was locked it couldn't be edited.
Punjab PMET 2016 Important Dates: The application procedure for Punjab PMET 2016 academic sessions began from April 4, 2016 and exam was schedule to be conducted on May 15. Candidates can check Punjab PMET 2016 important dates from the table given below.

Punjab PMET 2016 Admit Card: The admit card of Punjab PMET 2016 was available to download from June 3, 2016. The Punjab PMET 2016 admit card was available to only those candidates whose application form had been duly completed and accepted by examination authority. To download Punjab PMET 2016 admit card candidate had to enter application number and date of birth. The admit card had candidate’s detail like name, roll number, exam center, time and examination instructions.
Punjab PMET 2016 Result: The result of Punjab PMET 2016 has been declared on June 22. Punjab PMET 2016 result can be checked by entering application number/username and password. 
Punjab PMET 2016 Counselling: The counselling of Punjab PMET 2016 will be conducted online in three rounds beginning from July 6, 2016. Candidates have to fill the preference form to participate in counselling process. The preference form for course and colleges filled by candidates will be centrally processed and allotment will be done solely on the basis of candidates rank in the merit list.

Punjab PMET 2016 will continue to be gateway for admission to state medical colleges in the admission year 2016. The exam, which earlier stood cancelled as per the Supreme Court order on May 9, 2016, again comes into effect after the Centre brought an ordinance on NEET, which put state entrance tests out of NEET ambit for 2016 admission year. However, NEET phase 2, applicable for admissions to 15 per cent all India quota in government colleges; and private and deemed institutions, is still open for all.

JEECUP Application Form

The JEECUP 2016 Application Form are available to the candidates from 11th Jan, 2016. The candidates have to fill their application form through the online mode from the official website of JEECUP.  The candidates have to visit the official website and enter all the details in the application, after that candidates have to upload their photograph and signature as per the specified formats. After entering all the details candidates have to move towards fees payment, candidates can pay their fees by using debit/credit card or net banking or the fees can also be paid through bank challan through any branches of SBI and Allahabad bank.

The JEECUP 2017 application will start from second week of January 2017. Candidates may also check JEECUP 2017 for detailed information regarding application process, exam pattern, syllabus.

Eligibility Criteria

Those candidates who are eagerly waiting for the JEECUP 2016, must check the eligibility criteria, so that they should be aware of whether they are eligible for the exam or not. The eligibility criteria is mentioned in details below.
The candidates belonging to the UP are eligible to apply for 85% seats in various government and private colleges of UP.
The candidates applying for the exam should have passed or appearing in class 10th, or 12th or equivalent are eligible to apply. The candidate should have passed qualifying examination from any recognized board or university.
The candidates should be having domicile of UP, in order to appear for the examination.

        If you want to do polytechnic you should have the domicile of Uttar Pradesh and you should prepare from class X syllabus as questions of X level will come in JEECUP 2016.

        If you want to appear for JEECUP you should be the residence of Uttar Pradesh or should have the domicile certificate of Uttar Pradesh. If you want to appear for the entrance test you can prepare from class X syllabus as questions from class X level will come in exam.

    sir maine 2014 me jeecup diya tha ,aur meri I group me rank 43 aayi thi.is samay main btech 2nd year,mechanical ka student hoo. mera man btech karne me nhi lag raha hai ,kya mai entrance k through aeronautical engg. me admission le sakta hoo

      The exam is held for the candidates who belong to the Uttar Pradesh state and is held for the polytechnic colleges located in the state of Uttar Pradesh. In this exam science and maths of X class level will come.

      For appearing in UP Polytechnic you should have domicile certificate of Uttar Pradesh state. You should have passed class X exam from Science and Maths stream.
